Sip & Clay: A Creative Evening on the Pottery Wheel

Unwind, sip, and get your hands in the clay! Join us for a fun and relaxed evening of pottery designed for ages 21+. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking for a unique night out, you’ll learn the basics of handbuilding while enjoying your favorite beverage.

I’ll guide you step-by-step as you create your own clay masterpiece — no experience needed! Bring a friend, a date, or come solo and meet new people in a welcoming, creative space.

All materials are provided. Just bring your beverage of choice and your sense of adventure!

Private instruction on the pottery wheel for beginner to intermediate students.  After purchasing we’ll arrange a convenient time.  Clay and tools are supplied for this workshop.

You will choose a glaze and then your piece(s) will be bisque fired, glazed and fired, and ready for pick-up in 2-3 weeks.

Share a creative evening together during this fun, 2-hour session. Couples (and friends!) can try their hand at handbuilding or take a spin on the pottery wheel while enjoying a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and sense of play!

You create the pieces, I’ll fire and glaze, and then you can pick them up.

Price is $150 for 2 people.

Bring your friends and/or family for a fun night creating.  You can try the wheel or use forms to hand build a unique mug, plate, vase, or other object of your choice.  The session will last 2 hours.  You create and then choose your glaze for the piece to be fired for you. Pick-up at a later date – typically in 2-3 weeks.

Price is per person.  We’ll work together to schedule the perfect day and time.

Learn the process for building your own “trash can” raku kilns and fire up to 5 bisque fired pieces.  

I’ll walk you through the build process and then we will fire your pieces bringing the temperature up to approx. 1800+ degrees over 1-2 hours.  We’ll place your red hot pieces in reduction containers where we will see the fire process take place before safely containing your work.  

You will need to provide your own bisque fired pieces decorated with raku glaze (you can purchase raku clay and studio time separately).  I will provide dry carbonaceous material and you are welcome to bring your own – eg horse hair.

The entire process takes place outside and depends on the weather conditions.  Each raku workshop is individually scheduled.
