Sugarland Studios has teamed up with We Believe Stables to offer special sessions just for kids on days when school is not in session. We are combining horsemanship, the arts, and nature to offer a special space for kids to unleash their creativity and joy of play while learning skills and building friendships.
Camps registration comes with a receipt that can be used for Dependent Care claims and/or tax deductions.
Day Camps
- January 19th 9am – 4pm
- January 26th 9am – 4pm
- February 16th 9am – 4pm
- February 17th 9am – 4pm
Join us for a day on the farm including horsemanship, pony rides, spending time feeding and walking with alpacas, and time in the clay studio creating unique works of art using handbuilding techniques.
All activities take place onsite at O’Halloran Farms in Poolesville, MD.
Weekly Camps
Spring Break March 30 – April 3
9am – 4pm daily
This will be a week of creative exploration, farm activities, and building friendships.
Each day will consist of horsemanship, time riding, games, and creative pursuits in the clay studio.
The schedule is:
9am Arrival and group activity such as a scavenger hunt
10am Horsemanship and individual time on the horses
noon lunch
1pm Creative studio time. We’ll work on handbuilding projects that will be glazed and fired at the end of the week.
3pm Alpaca time – learn how they support each other in the herd, walk alongside them, and spend bonding time feeding them.
4pm Pick-up
All activities take place onsite at O’Halloran Farms in Poolesville, MD.
